Heather Robinson
Heather Robinson, San Francisco-based artist Heather Robinson creates colorful paintings that explore pattern and texture in the personal environment. Her work focuses on the interplay of order and spontaneity; she interweaves patterned elements with loose and unplanned marks. Robinson studied environmental design at Texas A&M University and architecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which gave her a passion forstructure as well as a fascination with how people choose to decorate the spaces around them. She has exhibited widely throughout the United States in California, Washington, New Mexico, Illinois, Ohio, Kansas, and New York. Her work is held inprivate collections in the US, Australia, Italy, and France. In addition to her creative practice, she's a professionally trained baker and enjoys traveling, studying foreign languages, and collecting loud vintage neckties.
